It isn’t so great when you open your favourite celebrity gossip column only to see a 2 year-old wearing a dress that is so expensive that you know you will never have any hope of affording it? Watch out people, kids aren’t just cute anymore; they’re now style icons ready and waiting to make us feel bad about ourselves. Here are just a few of the top contenders:
1. Suri Cruise.
The 9 year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes has always had us swooning with jealousy at her fun and colourful outfits which are so New York, darling. Her popularity in the fashion world has now reached such peaks that there are literally thousands of blogs dedicated to her choice of outfits. If this is the level of her popularity now, imagine what it will be like in 10 years.

2. North West.
When you’ve taken part in a Chanel inspired fashion campaign before the age of 1, you’d think that you might have achieved more than you could ever possibly dream of before your life has really started. But oh no, this is not the case for North West who is frequently seen out with her parents Kim and Kanye West wearing everything from Balmain to Givenchy. She has even sat on several front rows at fashion weeks across the globe, although I was secretly very happy when she cried so much that she had to be removed from one in February 2015. She’s only 2 for goodness sake.

3. Mason Disick.
Another offspring of the Kardashian clan, Mason Disick is the son of Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian, henceforth meaning he was never going to be lacking in the wardrobe department. However, Mason’s style is actually so cool, giving the ‘California beach look’ a new realm for kids to aspire to. Keep doing what you’re doing, Mase.

4. Harper Beckham.
Now here is another little fashionista in the making, whose style is so painfully ‘on point’ that it just makes me want to give up now. If Harper Beckham wasn’t so cute I would dislike her immensely, but lucky for her she is and it would seem the whole world agrees. Imagine what kind of hand-me-downs she is going to receive from her mother Victoria when she’s older, not to mention the fact that she’ll have her mother’s high-end clothing line at her disposal. The jealousy is actually palpable.

Another protégé of the Beckham clan, Romeo is referred to by his father David as ‘the fashion one’ and this definitely shows in his dress sense and the fact that he had starred in 2 major Burberry fashion campaigns before the age of 12.

If ever there was a complete amalgamation of two of the coolest people in the world it is Kingston Rossdale, who is lucky enough to call rockstars Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale his parents. Being stylish and cool is clearly in his genes and you only have to look at him once to know that he is going to be one of the most stylish young men on the planet when he’s older – if he isn’t already now.

Just look at this little guy! Aside from being unfathomably cute, the son of Orlando Bloom and supermodel Miranda Kerr is never seen looking anything less than ‘on point’, whether he’s sporting a pair of Nike high tops or a super-cool baker boy hat.

We can only imagine what life as the children of Jennifer Lopez must be like. One thing we know for sure is that you have access to an unbelievable plethora of designer clothes, which J-Lo took one step further by including her two children Emme and Maximilian in her 2011 Gucci campaign. Now they not only have the fashion to wear, but they are part of it themselves.

9. Zachary and Elijah Furnish-John.
I can’t help but look at this picture and think how happy Elton John and David Furnish’s children must be. Not least because they will never be wanting for anything in their whole life, especially clothes. We can’t imagine how many tailored suits they must already own but I have a sneaking suspicion these two will be big players on the fashion scene when they’re older. I wonder if they’ll take on the flamboyancy of their father Elton?

10. Prince George.
Selling out baby clothes across the world by the truckload, baby George – son of HRH Prince William and Kate Middleton – has got to be, hands down, the most stylish child on the planet. The whole world stopped in their tracks to follow his style on their royal tour last year (which was significantly reminiscent of his father’s choice of clothes at the same age) and we have no doubt that the world’s interest in him will continue to grow on an epic scale. This was definitely underlined in May 2015 when he arrived to visit new-born sister Charlotte and was dressed exactly the same as his father. I think my heart melted a bit that day.
