With such a strong focus on Gigi Hadid at the moment, some might say it is easy to overlook her younger sister Bella. However, anyone who is prepared to do this would be a fool because it turns out Bella has just as much star-quality as her sister and is very much here to stay. Here are just a few things you might not know about the 20 year-old rising star…
1. She’s an amazing supermodel.
As of 2017, there really isn’t a fashion week that is complete without Bella walking a runway somewhere. She is the toast of designers across the world and has walked for the likes of Chanel, Fendi, Marc Jacobs and Versace, to name just a few.

2. She has the best contacts in Hollywood.
It really can’t hurt your modelling career – or your social life – to be BFFs with pretty much all of the mainstream supermodels out there at the moment. This picture is a prime example showing Bella with her pals (from left to right) Hailey Baldwin, Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and, of course, her sister Gigi.

3. She and her sister Gigi are the perfect double-act.
It is rare to find a seamless double-act in this day and age, especially when everyone is so wrapped up in singular success. However, Gigi and Bella really do go together like ‘ying and yang’ in perfect harmony. Also, their tireless support of one another is enough to bring a tear to the eye. No wonder they have been photographs in so many campaigns together, they are a brand endorsement dream.

4. The Hadids have maintained their dignity even though they started out on reality TV.
It’s easy to forget that Bella, Gigi and their younger brother Anwar all started off by making cameos on their mother’s show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Perhaps they have been able to wipe the slate clean because they carry themselves with more dignity than other reality TV stars. Not mentioning any names, of course.

5. Bella and her mother Yolanda work hard to raise awareness of Lyme Disease.
Tragically in 2012, Bella found out – along with her brother Anwar and mother Yolanda – that she had been diagnosed with Lyme Disease, a debilitating bacterial infection spread by ticks. This sadly put an end to Bella’s dream of being a competitive horse-rider but she evidently hasn’t let it beat her and now works tirelessly with her family to promote awareness of the disease.

6. She is the poster girl for casual sportswear.
I mean this both literally and figuratively because Bella not only looks great out and about in what could otherwise be described as her gym kit, but she has also fronted a very significant campaign for sportswear giant, Nike.

7. She has posed for some of the best advertising campaigns to have come out over the past few years.
Some would argue that there has never been a more interesting time to be involved in fashion, with the money and innovation that goes in to creating some of the most beautiful campaigns in history. So far this year, Bella has starred in the stunning Moschino advertisement below along with major campaigns for Fendi and DKNY. We have no doubt there will be more where that came from.

8. She’s cool.
It takes a great deal of strength and dignity to pull off running in to your ex gracefully (on the Victoria’s Secret runway no less) but Bella managed to pull it off with elegance and poise. It certainly couldn’t have hurt that she looked literally like a million dollars. Her ex-boyfriend, The Weeknd, must have not known where to look.

9. She has a good sense of humour.
In the modelling world, it is probably best to resign yourself to the fact that you are going to fall over at some point. It just seems part of the parcel and when it happened to Bella at the Michael Kors show at New York Fashion Week 2016, she pulled it off in the best way possible: By making a joke from her Twitter account saying “Guys I’m a professional break dancer now I forgot to tell u”.

10. She gives hope to all the ‘girls next door’ out there who dream of becoming a supermodel.
Don’t get us wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a wholesome, pretty girl next door. But for any girls out there who don’t believe they have the means to vamp it up from time to time, Bella is walking proof that anything is possible, even a lucrative supermodel career.
