Emma Watson’s Style Evolution

It is a very rare thing to witness a Hollywood actress who has seemingly never put a foot wrong when it comes to her style and general demeanour. However, this is very much the case for Emma Watson – a.k.a. Hollywood actress, UN Ambassador, human rights campaigner, fashionista – and with one of her biggest films, Beauty and the Beast, due for release in March 2017 we thought it worth a look at her impeccable fashion back-catalogue and how it came to be:

1. Hermione Granger.

Hermione Granger is of course the reason Emma Watson became a household name but it’s safe to say her fashion wasn’t the reason that she has been recognised as such a style maven in recent years.

2. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Premiere, 2004.

Even though Emma already had so many red carpets under her belt by this point, 2004 really did mark a time when she was starting to grow in to her style and carry herself with the poise and elegance of a true fashionista.

2009 was also a very significant year for Emma Watson when she was crowned the face of Burberry and given the most standout dress for their renowned London Fashion Week show. All this at just 19 years-old.

4. That Pixie Crop, 2010.

There wasn’t a single person in the fashion world who didn’t take note of Emma’s pixie crop. It was the epitome of hair perfection for the time and it’s no wonder that the year also resulted in several high-end magazine covers.

After concurring many a red carpet, 2014 was the time for Emma to be innovative with a strikingly different style of dress for the Golden Globe awards in Los Angeles. Dior were the fashion house responsible for this creation and, of course, she pulled it off magnificently.

7. ‘Off Duty Cool’, Chiltern Firehouse, 2015.

Even through all of these remarkable achievements Emma Watson still needed to relax and have downtime with her friends. And by this point in 2015 every outfit she wore was being spread across tabloids the next day, especially this ‘uber-cool’ Saint Laurent number.

8. White House Correspondents Dinner, 2016.

Is there really any greater measure of success than being invited to the White House Correspondents dinner? For this occasion, Emma’s fashion excelled in a stunning Osman dress, which actually bore a distinct resemblance to her 2014 Golden Globes outfit. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, right Emma? We definitely don’t blame you.
